Monday

Yah I have a recommendation to make, don’t bother trying to be all tough and do the stuff that men are supposed to be doing– like taking air conditioners out of the windows, air conditioners that weigh at least half of one’s own body weight.  Now I have sciatica-type shooting pains. The kind that take [...]

my boo

So…K thinks I’m pretty well whacked regarding the dogs. Hey, it’s obviously true.  I’m super active on an English Bulldog web forum and in general I treat them like children.  You don’t need to be Freud to figure this one out.
So next week I’ll be gone for two days for my design-for-the-elderly classes and I [...]

Finally Feelin’ Better

Somedays it is just going from one fire to another.  Yesterday I went to see my Dad who lays in his bed, twisted skinny legs, twisted mind begging me to get the keys and pull the car around the front of the nursing home. A lot has happened since my last post on this topic…trips [...]

Stumped

So shazam, it’s Monday evening and I am roasting a fine chicken, some sweet potatos and steaming brussel sprouts.  In a moment or two I will be opening a bottle of wine just cuz.

there is not a title

…on a huge ugly crying streak at the moment.  If, if, Freida’s lump is lymphoma is will give her 2 months max to live.  This has me just completely distraught. I’m gonna say what none of us ever say about our loved ones but she is my favorite, she is my surrogate baby that I never [...]

Getting Spanked

Freida is being tested for lymphoma. She has an enormous nodule in her neck.  I am totally beside myself over this.
Dad still cannot use his legs and is still incontinent. Oh! And he still has dementia. As I noted in Rox’s blog, I had to blow his nose for him yesterday. It was a particularly [...]

getting worse

So Dad’s been in agony lately and has lost his ability to move his feet. Back to the surgeon, another surgery with that horrid general anesthesia that has given his brain so many problems.  The surgeon said there was blood pooled at the surgical site that was pressing on his nerves and because it had [...]
